Application of Block Oven - Aging Oven

The block ovens are designed for aging tests according ASTM D 865 Rubber-Deterioration by Heating in Air (Test Tube Enclosure). The ovens can also be used for testing in liquids according to ASTM D 471 Effect of liquids. Cell ovens and cabinet ageing ovens perform well inside the apparatus requirements in ISO 188, IEC 811 and other equivalent standards.

EB-07 - Cell Oven – 3 cells (3 independent temps) Block Oven - Aging Oven
  • Test piece holder in each cell can take up to 24 standard test pieces.
  • Each cell has separate control for air-exchange rate.
  • High temperature accuracy achieved by using three separate extruded aluminum blocks with channels for preheating of the air.
  • Gives the laboratory extra flexibility when carrying out sample ageing at several temperatures.
  • Designed to give very low temperature variations in time and space, low air speed and controlled air exchange rate.

  • Air pump and flowmeter/regulator are replaced by a factory set throttle to give fixed air exchange rate of 7 or 12 changes per hour.
