QV- CCD Vickers / Micro-Vickers Video Filar System

Fast and easy determination of Vickers / Micro-Vickers hardness on PC, featuring hardness depth graphics

Unique, user friendly system combines the power, speed and flexibility of a personal computer with the precision of our Vickers/Micro-Vickers hardness testers’ series, to accommodate a full spectrum of micro hardness testing requirements.

Simple test procedure, user defines simple or complex pattern for automatic positioning and indentation. The software automatically measures and records indentation size and hardness measurement. Results display includes depth versus hardness XY plotting as well as statistics and individual indent results.

Ideal for industrial production and research applications. Measurements are made through the high-resolution video camera system. Productivity is dramatically increased due to the elimination of time consuming, stage and eyepiece manual intervention, typically associated with high quantity pattern testing.

QV-CCD1, Video filar system 1
Basic system for individual tests with PC

CCD1 is the basic version of our Video Filar Systems. This kit comes with software level 1 and analogue micrometer heads and use the xy stage that is delivered with the Micro Vickers Hardness tester. The operator uses the camera to look at the indentation made rather than looking through the objective with own eyes. The operator then views the indentation on the screen and can set the lines on the screen for hardness measurement. This version doesn’t have the possibility to position the turret or the xy stage of the tester through the pc. Apart from the camera there is no connection between the tester and the pc.

QV-CCD2, Video filar system 2
Basic system for testing traverses with PC

CCD2 is a slightly more advanced than the CCD1 version: The operator has the software level 1 and uses digital micrometer heads instead of analogue micrometer. The micrometer heads are connected to the pc and consequently the user can see the position of the xy stage on the pc.

QV-CCD3, Video filar system 3
Semi-automatic configuration with PC

CCD3: This version uses more enhanced software, called level 2 and the xy stage is motorized. This is a different xy stage from the standard stage delivered with the tester. The xy stage is connected to the pc and the user can determine the position of the sample via the pc. This version is considered a semi automatic system. All CCD levels 1 to 3 have the option for automatic measurement. This is an upgrade of the software which means that the lines D1 and D2 to calculate the hardness value are set automatically and not manually by the operator.

QV-CCD4, Video filar system 4
Full-automatic system for testing complex patterns and traverses with PC

CCD4: This is the most advanced Video Filar system among this line. It is a fully automatic system that has autofocus and positioning of the z axis as well. This means that the user places the sample on the xy stage, choose the desired testing program (which can be determined beforehand) and then the test procedure is performed automatically. The CCD4 is often used to perform a series of measurements in a row, i.e. if the user wants to determine the depth of a hardened layer of a product.
