Rebound Resilience Elasticity Tester
Download Literature for Rebound Resilience Tester (PDF)
The determination of the elasticity of elastomeres, soft elastic foamed materials and similar materials under impact stress serves for:
- Improvement of the application and quality
- Determination of the dynamic characteristics
- Differentiation of different material qualities
- Indication of the changes after endurance and aging tests
- Quality assurance during the production process and on the final product.
The digi test rebound resilience-elasticity-tester serves for the determination of the resilience elasticity.
It works according to:
- ASTM D 1054
- DIN 53512
- DIN 53573
- ISO 4662
In regards to the standards, the resilience elasticity is defined as the ratio of the regained energy in relation to the applied energy. This ratio of energy corresponds with the quotient of the height of the resilience and the height of the drop of the pendulum.
The digi test-resilience-elasticity tester is a digital apparatus. The median value is calculated and indicated on the display and sent to the PC afterwards. A test function allows the control of the prescribed double swinging according to standards.
The apparatus consists of:
- basic bench with anvil and exchangeable anvil plate. The anvil is adjustable vertically according to the thickness of the sample.
- Axis of pendulum with pendulum bar
- Exchangeable hammer heads with hammer edge
- Holder of pendulum
- Exchangeable holder for samples
- Electronic unit with serial interface
