Microprocessor-controlled Air Permeability Tester for determination of the specific surface (Blaine Value) of Powders

ToniPERM is a fully automatic cement air permeability tester used for the determination of the specific surface or Blaine value. This measuring procedure is performed according to DIN EN 196 as well as ASTM C 204. Once the test material is set inside ToniPERM’s twin chambers, the automated test procedure records all the measurement in its database to be collected and analyzed when the user is ready. This design of ToniPERM features a microprocessor control unit and a magnet valve and membrane pump measuring cell testing apparatus. A u-tube manometer featuring conctactless adjustable optical sensors and the magnet valve and membrane pump creates a vacuum for the operation of the Blaine air permeability test.

Rotary Sample Splitter

ToniPERM uses powdered cement and mortar samples to find the Blaine value of the particular compound. The perfect compliment to ToniPERM sample preparation would be our rotary sample splitter. The full splitter setup incorporates two pieces of equipment.

Vibration Feeder The DR100 vibratory feeder uses an 50-60 Hz electromagnetic vibration system to feed the particulate sample to the divider. With adjustable volume flow and layer height, the DR100 can be specifically set to your application. Sample Divider The PT100 sample divider can produce accurate and repeatable samples for powder testing. The splitting system functions in full automation ensuring that at all steps, the sample divisions are an exact match to each other and that of the bulk sample.

Our rotary sample splitter enables high-precision division of your samples ensuring the highest degree of repeatability with each test. It works on everything from the finest granules up to coarse particles 3mm in size up to a maximum feed capacity of 5000ml. It’s the perfect accessory for enabling the most accurate Blaine testing.

Consists of: Calibrated U-tube manometer, ground glass joint, stainless steel test cell and plunger, rubber aspirator bulb and perforated disc. Includes 8 oz (226.8g) bottle of red manometer fluid, filter paper, wood block for holding test cell during filling and funnel, Mounted on finished wood panel with rubber-footed base. Meets ASTM C204; AASHTO T153.
